Welcome to Stroud District Council webcasts
From here you are able to access webcasts of our live Council meetings, you can view them while they are happening and for up to six months afterwards.
Webcasts for future meetings and those for any recent meetings, are displayed on the right hand side of the page. To view a meeting just simply click on the title of the meeting you wish to view.
What is webcasting?
A webcast is basically a transmission of audio and video over the Internet. Video cameras at our Council meetings capture the live information and send it to a central server, which in turn sends it to anyone that would like to view the meeting. Through the use of your internet connection (either broadband or via a dial-up modem) and Real's free player or Windows Media Player you can view the meetings live from the comfort of your own home.
Should you miss a meeting, or would like to view a section of the meeting again, then you can view the archive of the webcast. The archives allow you to view the meeting at your leisure and, through the use of the index points, allow you to jump to a specific agenda point or speaker.
If you have missed a meeting or would like to see a complete list of the meetings the Council has webcast, you can view our archive list. To access this click on the ‘webcast’ link on the top navigational bar.
With archive meetings you can also jump to specific agenda points and look at any documents or presentation slides associated with the webcast.
